Important company data and the structure of VRVis

The Company

  • VRVis Zentrum für Virtual Reality und Visualisierung Forschungs-GmbH has been founded in 2000 in the scope of the K-plus funding scheme
  • Currently about 45 researchers and 9 administration personnel are employed
  • In 2011 VRVis had an annual turnover of EUR 4,2 Mio.
  • Since its foundation one habilitation, 17 PhD and more than 75 master theses have been completed at VRVis
  • From the beginning in 2000 until now more than 360 publications of VRVis have been published in international journals and at conferences like Siggraph, IEEE Vis, Eurographics etc.

 

The Owner

The association for the advancement of virtual reality and visualization is the 100 % owner of VRVis. Within the association, 50 % of the voting rights belong to scientific partners like the TU-Vienna and TU-Graz. The other 50 % belong to the industry partners.
