Computer Vision applications for Space Robotics: Use Cases and Experiences — Gerhard Paar
Robotic exploration on the surface of moons and planets in the solar system requires heavy support by computer vision. The Institute for Digital Image Processing at Joanneum Research (JR) in Graz is involved in several activities related to 3D computer vision solutions, including the development of the ExoMars 2018 panoramic camera PanCam and the EU FP7-SPACE project PRoVisG. This short presentation gives an overview on the key objectives and methodologies of such projects with JR contribution.Invited Talk
