SimVis

Nowadays more and more data is acquired in many fields but often means to support a useful interpretation are laging behind. New know-how and technology is needed to extract the useful information from large and complex data sets.

An exciting new solution to this challenge is provided by the SimVis technology:

SimVis is an interactive visual analysis technology

for large, multi-variate, and time-dependent 3D simulation data on unstructured grids
which has been developed at the VRVis Research Center in Vienna, Austria, since 2001
and has received international recognition at top scientific conferences
SimVis stands for Simulation Visualization, which also describes the main application field for this new technology up to now. During the progress of research and development the application extended to other areas, such as

• customer relation ship data
• meteorological data (measured or simulated)
• logistical data
