The IÖB Summer Call 2020, initiated by the Ministry of Digital and Economic Affairs (BMDW) and the IÖB Service Center, invited Austrian innovators to present digital solutions that can support public institutions in offering new services and optimizing processes and operations. Out of more than 160 submissions, a jury of experts has now awarded the "IÖB-ausgezeichnet" seal to the project "Performance Assessment of Biosolar Technology with Visual Cockpits" developed by researchers from our Visual Analytics Group.
In this project, VRVis developed visual analytics solutions for the biosolar energy sector that enable the unprecedented synthesis of collected time series sensor data with important key performance indicators (KPI).
Through flexibly combinable visualizations, interactions and analytical calculations, the high-performance visual analytics cockpits provide the necessary technology for real-time monitoring and condition assessment of environmental infrastructure systems, which can subsequently be used as a decision-making basis for optimizations.
Since the cockpits are also web-based, users can engage in a collaborative and location-independent dialogue with the data as well as perform a variety of tasks, such as structural data analysis, quality and completeness checking, diversity checking, pattern search and correlation analysis, anomaly detection, process optimization and model building.
More information about the project can be found at the Innovation Marketplace of IÖB.
