The Energy Globe Award is one of the most prestigious environmental awards in the world. Out of more than 300 submissions across the country, VRVis' simulation software Visdom was able to prevail as the best research project in the "Water" category. It is another award that confirms that Visdom is increasingly becoming a fixed tool in international flood and heavy rain simulation. Visdom is used in the heavy rainfall hazard maps of Austria, the disaster control planning of more than 75 Austrian municipalities and cities, and as a reliable heavy rainfall hazard map expert for several German federal states.
Established in 1999, the world-renowned Energy Globe Award annually recognizes the most outstanding projects focusing on resource conservation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy. The aim of the award is to make the best and most innovative solutions for solving pressing environmental problems visible to the public - both at home and abroad. At the award ceremony on October 7, which was broadcast on www.energyglobe.at and had more than 50,000 viewers, the jury presented Visdom with the award as one of the most important cutting-edge tools available in flood protection.
