The World Summit Awards (WSA) initiative focuses on the global improvement and dissemination of digital solutions with a clear focus on digital solutions that advance sustainable development along the UN's 17 SDGs. As part of the annual WSA Austria, the best sustainable solutions from Austria are awarded in various categories and also put forward for the renowned WSA Global award. Following the Horizon2020 project ARCHES, coordinated by VRVis, which won the WSA Austria in 2020, this year our simulation software Visdom was awarded the prestigious WSA Austria in the category Smart Settlements & Urbanization.
The WSA Austria is considered to be the digital changemaker award for Austria and recognizes projects that have a particularly strong and positive impact on society and the environment. The simulation software Visdom, which enables flood and heavy rain simulation and visualization at a speed that is globally unparalleled, is one of the best examples here, as the software effectively contributes to the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goals Nr. 6, Clean Water and Sanitation, and No. 13, Climate Action.
Visdom wins the renowned international sustainability award WSA 2022 in the category Smart Settlement & Urbanization.
