On April 26, 2018, the VRVis opened its doors for the Vienna Daughter's Day: girls aged 11 to 16 visited us and were able to get a taste of the professional world of a research center for one day. The program was diverse and aimed to show girls the versatility of IT and research. In addition to trying out various virtual reality applications, the girls learned the basics of programming, visited the research group Multiple Senses and learned how computer graphics can be used for the benefit of society (eg inclusiveness) and also had the opportunity to talk with female researchers and programmers about their career, working at VRVis and career opportunities for women in tech.
