From 11-15 February 2019 Shonan Meeting by the National Institute of Informatics took place in Japan, at the Shonan Village Center. Katja Bühler, head of the Biomedical Image Informatics Group, and Kresimir Matkovic, head of the Interactive Visualization Group, took part in this already 145th edition. The topic was: "The Moving Target of Visualization Software for an Ever More Complex World".
NII Shonan Meetings, following the well-known Dagstuhl Seminars, aim to internationally promote informatics its research, by providing another world’s premier venue for world-class scientists, promising young researchers, and practitioners to come together in Asia to exchange their knowledge, discuss their research findings, and explore a cutting-edge informatics topics.
