The new platform, called Correlated Multimodal Imaging Node Austria (CMI), aims to enable domestic and foreign researchers to use imaging modalities that are unique worldwide, such as high-resolution 3D microscopy, photoacoustic tomography or high-field magnetic resonance imaging. To this end, leading research institutions in Austria have formed a consortium. The consortium agreement was signed on 22 October 2015 at the Centre for Anatomy and Cell Biology at MedUni Vienna.
