VRVis and KHM Vienna presented the tactile relief and the Multimedia Guide for Museum Objects for barrier-free museums of tomorrow at the Zero Project Conference 2020.
At this year's 9th Zero Project Conference, which took place from 19 to 21 February 2020 in Vienna's UNO City, innovations in inclusive education from all over the world were exhibited. VRVis was also present with a booth together with the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. There, we presented the tactile reliefs and the Multimedia Guide for Museum Objects, which we developed during the EU-funded Horizon2020 project ARCHES in the framework of collaborative and participatory research with partners from all over Europe.
For our innovative solutions, which use Key Enabling Technologies for more inclusion and accessibility in art education in order to make museums fit for the 21st century, we were honoured with the Zero Project Award 2020.
Furthermore, on the opening day we were delighted to welcome a very special guest to our stand: Wolfgang Sobotka, President of the National Council, who visited selected projects, was introduced to the operation of the Multimedia Guide by our researcher Andreas Reichinger, and tested it immediately afterwards.
