The trip, which runs from April 7th to April 12th, 2018, is all about communication and possible collaborations. "We hope that various agreements between Chinese and Austrian companies can be signed," said Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. "The state visit will serve to further develop bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economics, science, culture and the environment," Van der Bellen said further. The two heads of state are accompanied by Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, Environment Minister Elisabeth Köstinger, Minister of Economic Affairs Margarete Schramböck and Minister of Infrastructure Norbert Hofer, and a 250-strong delegation. It consists of 170 Austrian businesspeople as well as 30 scientists and people from culture and arts. VRVis CEO Gerd Hesina is part of this state visit.
