The central nervous system of the larva consists of about 12,000 neurons. For efficient information retrieval and automated data mining, each patterns needs to be mapped onto a common reference space. Accurate image registration plays a key role here. We investigate standard and multi-channel image registration approaches. Our evaluation shows that multi-channel registration is beneficial in cases where the staining quality is partially compromised and can be complemented by the information contained in an additional reference channel.}, }
