The mission of the VRVis is to build a bridge between science and industry: from basic research to applied industrial research.
Our research focus at VRVis is Visual Computing. We transform data into information and images. Images are a universal means of communication: they are understandable and accessible. Therefore, we present data, contexts and issues in the best possible visual and interactive form. The person who sees can understand.
Visualization is not limited to any industry, so our research projects at VRVis cover a wide range of data types and applications including engine simulation, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, aerial photography, laser range scans, financial data, and seismic measurements for oil field research. The goal of our research is to visualize data so that they can provide an important basis for decision-making. The key factors are real-time capability, interaction as well as quality and accuracy of the resulting visual representations.
