Visual Computing is building the foundation for the future of modern radiology. The long-term vision of this applied research project is to use the available data resources to improve image-based diagnostics based on complex data in daily clinical routine.
Main research areas
Acceleration of radiology workflows for multi-modal and time dependent data with special focus on diagnostics tasks with high frequency to maximise economic and societal impact of our research.
Enabling fast integration of new emerging imaging technologies into the radiology workflow that just enter the market for routine diagnostics. (E.g novel molecular genetic imaging methods, MR + rotational Mammo, spectral CT)
Extending today's practice of radiology by pushing personalized radiology towards application.
