Critical Extended Realities
Abstract: Virtual space is often presented in an ambiguous way. It is imagined as an endless space of freedom, but at the same time often subjected to restrictions to user control of the environment, and even attempt to introduce spatial scarcity with blockchain. This presentation will build on Lefebvre's idea of Right to the City to reflect on the possibility of a Right to Virtual Space and its possible entails for XR design.
