Silvana Zechmeister and Laura Luidolt from VRVis received the Siemens Award of Excellence for special achievements in the past academic year.

Silvana Zechmeister, who is a FEMtech intern in our Integrated Simulations group and where she is writing her master thesis, and Laura R. Luidolt, FEMtech intern in our Semantic Modelling and Acquisition group, were both presented with the Siemens Award for Excellence on 21 January 2020 at the "EPILOG" event at the TU Vienna. They received the award from Bernhard Kienlein for their outstanding academic achievements. We congratulate!
The Siemens Award for Excellence is an annual prize for six female computer science students of the TU Vienna for their academic accomplishments in the past academic year. The award aims to promote women in industry as well as in the academic world, in order to make women's achievements in computer science more visible.
