The World Summit Award is a unique ecosystem that selects and promotes local and digital innovations that have a large and positive impact on society and the environment. The participatory research project ARCHES receives the WSA Austria 2020 Award in the category "Inclusion" and is recognized by the 15-member jury as an outstanding Austrian project in the ICT sector.
"ARCHES" is a Horizon2020 project that, under the coordination of VRVis, brings together renowned European institutions such as the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna or the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in order to enable barrier-free art education with the help of key enabling technologies and to make museums fit for the 21st century. The WSA Austria is also the official and national preliminary decision with which the award-winning project "ARCHES" qualifies for the global World Summit Award, and which is the international competition for Austria. The award ceremony will take place in May 2021 as part of ViennaUp.
