Visual Computing: an essential key to sustainable and human-centered technology

VRVis cordially invites you to an open house on May 7, 2024. The Vienna COMET Center opens its doors and presents the latest visual computing research from Austria in several demos, which focuse on people and accompanies them on their way to a sustainable future.

The COMET Center VRVis is an internationally recognized and Austria's largest research institution in the field of visual computing. This key technology supports people in obtaining comprehensible images and information from complex data. It also creates an intuitive interface to artificial intelligence and simulation, which together form the basis for strategic decisions. Together with our partners, we build a bridge from science to business. We ensure that the latest data-driven technologies such as artificial intelligence, simulation, data analysis, image processing or extended reality can be used quickly in companies and thus contribute to the common good. This ranges from flood simulations and tools for planning sponge cities and blue-green infrastructure to reliable artificial intelligence solutions in the service of digital radiology and the integration of digital humanism in visual computing research or collaborative planning solutions for modern construction. A dozen demos will showcase the diversity of Austrian top-level research and human-centered technological applications. There will also be an opportunity for networking at the end of the event with snacks and drinks.
