Visual Computing Trends

Visual Computing Trends is a one-day symposium held every two years since 2009, at which four renowned international speakers are invited by VRVis to provide insights into the latest visual computing and computer graphics research. In previous years, around 200 to 300 guests from over 15 countries have attended the event. The Visual Computing Trends Symposium has become a fixture in the visual computing community. The event has thus also established itself as a forum for lively international exchange between a wide range of stakeholders from research, industry and the public.

In his talk, Anders Ynnerman presented his concept of "Exploranation" - a visual communication bridge between science and the public, clearly showing that visualization is essential for the successful realization of the digital transformation.

The symposium, which has been held in biennial intervals since 2009, returned after a longer break due to corona in 2023. The lectures of the four internationally renowned visual computing experts Cani, Lin, Gröller and Ynnerman provided a versatile and insightful program.
