For the sixth time VRVis invited top-class speakers from the field of computer graphics to the biennial symposium "Visual Computing Trends". On 31 January 2019, four experts presented an overview of the latest scientific developments in visual computing to 250 guests and talked about the latest research results in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, mixed reality and rendering.
Gerd Hesina, CEO of VRVis, sees the increasing importance of visual computing reflected in the high attendance of around 250 guests: "The processing of data into vivid images and understandable information is playing an increasingly important role in an increasingly complex world - the special importance of the key technology of visualization can be seen in the fact that guests from science as well as from business and industry are present at our symposium. This is due to the fact that visual computing is a cross-sectional technology, as Hesina emphasizes: "From the automotive industry to the energy sector, from biomedicine to infrastructure, there is hardly an area that can do without visualization. We also want to take this diversity into account with our symposium".
