In der abschließenden Diskussionsrunde wurde über Möglichkeiten der Forschungszusammenarbeit im Bereich Virtual Reality zwischen Österreich und China gesprochen.
The video for the Austria Summit was commissioned by the Chinese Embassy and produced in cooperation with VRVis, BOKU Wien, the Konfuzius-Institut at the University of Vienna and others. In this three-hour program, Austrian top-level research in the field of virtual reality and beyond is presented by keynote speeches, greetings from politics and research, project presentations and a concluding round table discussion on the topics of Austrian-Chinese know-how transfer and VR of the future.
In addition to short speeches by Christian Weißenburger (BMK) and City Councillor Peter Hanke (City of Vienna), Gerd Hesina, Managing Director of VRVis, also gave some introductory words. Furthermore five research projects of VRVis were presented, which covered the work in VR for the automotive sector as well as the research topics simulation, reconstruction for large infrastructure projects and planetary science, and reliable artificial intelligence in digital radiology.
