Rebecca Nowak is a researcher in the Geospatial Visualization, Semantic Modeling and Acquisition group at VRVis, where she is currently working on visual analysis tools for planetary science, generating training data for AI systems, as well as developing an integrated virtual railroad system that ensures reliable information over the full lifespan of infrastructure components and rail vehicles. She completed her bachelor's degree in Media Informatics and Visual Computing at the Vienna University of Technology. She wrote her master's thesis in Visual Computing at VRVis in cooperation with TU Wien on the topic "Interactive Correlation Panels for the Geological Mapping of the Martian Surface".
VRVis and ÖBB receive the ICT Digital Jewels award for their RAIL4Future project.
