Dr. Harald Piringer is the CEO of Visplore GmbH.
Dr. Harald Piringer studied Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology specializing in computer graphics. From 2003 to 2020 Harald Piringer worked at the VRVis research center in Vienna, where he was head of the research area Visual Analytics from 2010 to July 2020. Since June 2020 he has been the managing director of the spin-off Visplore GmbH, which was founded together with VRVis.
Dr. Piringer got his PhD sub auspiciis praesidentis from the Vienna University of Technology in 2012, and has (co-)authored more than 25 publications so far, including the high-impact journals IEEE TVCG and Computer Graphics Forum. He won the best paper awards at EuroVis 2011 and IEEE VAST 2013, recently he was nominated for the eAward 2019 in the category "Industry 4.0".
